Reynolds County Museum at Ellington is open Thursday and Friday, 10-4 and the second Saturday of each month, also 10-4. Tours can be arranged if you call ahead to 573-663-3233.The museum is on South Main Street and is supported by the Reynolds County Genealogy and Historical Society. It contains everything from old photos to Indians relics to vintage clothing and uniforms. Also railroad and logging things, farming and mining, early school days, old time country living. Nature Center and Museum at Sam A Baker State Park is located at the park headquarters, north of Patterson. Hours are posted online at www.mostateparks.com/baker/natcenter.htm. The center includes a 3-D model of the park, aquarium of native fishes, insect collection, live snakes and other features. |
